Earl says, "It is made of juniper reclaimed from a friends wood pile. Long leaf pine needles, philadendron sheaths, beads and some unkown kind of button. Coiled with aritifical sinew. My wife calls this a swiss cheese basket so I sent a small 2nd photo that shows the holes that were in the wood caused by bark inclusions. This is typical in juniper and why it is considered pretty much a trash wood."
